  Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau and Dong Nai Customs Departments organize friendly football league between 4 provinces in southeastern region Faced with many difficulties and challenges of the world economy in general and Vietnam's economy in particular, officers of Binh Duong Customs Department have always worked hard and complete all tasks assigned.
  Binh Duong Customs Department organizes mid-autumn festival for the children of customs officers in 2016 In the evening of 12/09/2016, at 7th floor, the Youth Union in co-ordination with the Trade Union of Binh Duong Customs Department hold Mid-Autumn Festival for children of customs officers working in Binh Duong Customs Department with the theme "Happy full moon 2016".
  Binh Duong Customs Department speed up gratitude works and supported the poor to overcome poverty In order to contribute to the eradication of hunger, poverty reduction, social security, support for the poor, in recent years the local authorities of Binh Duong province has effectively implemented gratitude programs helping families with difficult circumstances.
  In morning 17th August 2016, the General Customs Department was in collaboration with Binh Duong Customs Department to hold a training conference opening to deploy the decisions of the Ministry of Finance and guide the process for applying risk management in Customs operations. The conference was held for 3 days from 17th to 19th August 2016.
  Viet Nam – Singapore Industrial Park Customs Branch, the Customs Branch managing cargo outside Industrial Parks, Song Than Industrial Park Customs Branch held sports league with enterprises in the area that strengthens the relationships between Customs - Enterprises In order to celebrate 71 years of the August Revolution (19/08/1945 – 19/08/2016) and the anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam 2/9; 71 years of establishment of Vietnam Customs (10/9/1945- 10/9/2016) and the 25 year anniversary of Binh Duong Customs Department (5/9/1991- 5/9/2016), by this occasion to create relationships between Customs - Enterprises in Di An town and Thuan An town, Binh Duong Province.
  In 2016, Binh Duong Customs Department received a quota of state budget revenue 10,500 billion dong, increasing 5% compared to 2015 (10,000 billion dong) and targets was 10,700 billion dong. This was a big challenge in performing the tasks when there were many factors to reduce the impact of customs tax revenues. Accordingly, early in the year, Binh Duong Customs Department had been proactive to deploy overall multiple solutions of state budget revenues.
  The application of information technology in the administrative reform of Binh Duong Customs Department had helped enterprises be easier, more convenient when carrying out customs procedures, as well as contributed to transparency customs operation, made operation of the customs offices and enterprises increasingly transparent.
  Binh Duong Customs Department organizes meetings, visits to encourage officers who are the wounded soldiers and the relatives of martyrs on 27th July In the afternoon of 26th July, on the occasion of the 69th commemoration of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs Day (27/7/1947 - 27/7/2016), the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Binh Duong Customs Department held a meeting with customs officers who are the wounded soldiers, the relatives martyrs working at Binh Duong Customs Department.
  The task in 2016 was quite heavy, in the context of the economy at home and abroad there were also many difficulties, so from the beginning of the year, Binh Duong Customs Department had implemented positive objectives, key tasks which were assigned by the Ministry of Finance, General Department of Customs and Binh Duong province People's Committee.   BROWNSVILLE, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge intercepted a load of alleged cocaine. CBP officers discovered the alleged narcotics, valued at approximately $214,540, hidden within a black 2005 Jeep Cherokee.
  ANZALDUAS, Texas—U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Anzalduas International Bridge intercepted $636,820 worth of alleged cocaine from a woman as she attempted to enter the U.S. from Mexico.
  LAREDO, Texas –U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Lincoln-Juarez Bridge this weekend seized more than $190,000 in cocaine hidden in a vehicle.
  TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a man and juvenile during separate weekend attempts to smuggle heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine through the Dennis DeConcini crossing in Nogales, Arizona.
  YUMA, Ariz. – Border Patrol agents seized 26 pounds of methamphetamine, worth an estimated $78,000, and arrested three male U.S. citizens when they attempted to smuggle the illegal drugs through a Yuma Sector traffic checkpoint Tuesday night.
  TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers at the Raul Hector Castro Port of Entry in Douglas, Arizona, arrested a 29-year-old man from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico for attempting to smuggle 275 pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $137,500, into the United States on Aug. 17.
  TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Arizona’s Port of San Luis arrested a 23-year-old man after finding nearly 44 pounds of methamphetamine, worth approximately $131,000, on Aug. 21.
  INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations officers working at the International Falls, Minnesota, Port of Entry (POE) recently targeted a rail container destined for the Ranier, Minnesota, POE. In CBP officers inspected the container in early July and discovered merchandise that violated multiple laws and regulations.
  TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers arrested two Mexican women, and a U.S. woman from Rio Rico, Arizona, during separate weekend attempts to smuggle methamphetamine through the Port of Nogales.
  SAN DIEGO - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the San Ysidro port of entry Friday discovered almost 1,500 pounds of marijuana concealed inside pieces of wooden furniture.
